Exam Details Overview
GATE is a national-level assessment used for evaluating candidates' grasp of various undergraduate subjects. This exam is a gateway to master's and doctoral programs, and some Public Sector Undertakings use it for recruitment purposes. The GATE 2026 examination is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The examination is split across two shifts each day: the first shift, or forenoon session, runs from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second, or afternoon session, runs from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. A total of 30 test papers will be available in GATE 2026, and candidates can appear for a maximum of two test papers.
