Kerala's Coastal Charms
Initiated in September 2021, Kerala Tourism's Caravan Tourism policy has opened up the state's scenic beauty for road exploration. Luxury caravans and
dedicated parks are now accessible for hire via accredited local operators, all bookable through the official Kerala Tourism website. A significant perk is that your pets are also welcome aboard these mobile homes. The destinations are as varied as the state itself, with operators offering routes that traverse lush tea plantations, tranquil backwaters, abundant wildlife sanctuaries, stunning coastlines, and cool hill stations. Beyond the standard provisions, travellers can often find optional amenities such as bicycles for exploring local trails, surfboards for catching waves, comfortable recliner chairs, and even large-screen televisions for entertainment. Essential onboard facilities consistently include a fully equipped kitchenette featuring a refrigerator, microwave, dining area, and induction cooktop, alongside a convenient onboard restroom complete with a shower and hot water. Modern comforts like air conditioning are standard, complemented by eco-friendly waste management systems. For connectivity, most caravans offer WiFi, internal and external charging points, GPS navigation, and audio-visual entertainment systems, ensuring a comfortable and connected journey through God's Own Country.
