In Delhi NCR, Ramadan 2026 brought forth a curated experience with 'Jashn-e-Iftaar' at Majlis, offering a heritage-infused menu. This spread featured refreshing
sharbats, premium dates, and a variety of traditional accompaniments like crisp pakoda tokri and comforting Moradabadi dal. The experience was enhanced by slow-cooked haleem and aromatic biryanis, available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions. This elaborate offering was designed for family gatherings, corporate events, and significant celebrations, all presented in an elegant setting. Concurrently, Behrouz Biryani unveiled its signature Ramzan Iftar lineup. Their 'Badshahi Iftari Sandooq' provided a grand, seven-course meal for 3-4 people, encompassing royal dates, a choice of biryani, Gosht Haleem with kulcha, shorba, samosas, kebabs, Phirni, Sheer Khurma, and Gulrosh sharbat, along with a special chocolate gift box. For smaller groups, the 'Nawabi Iftari Khazana' offered a more intimate dining experience for 1-2 people, featuring haleem, biryani, and traditional sweets. Popular à la carte items, such as Rose Falooda and various haleem preparations, also remained highlights of their festive offerings.
Mumbai's Diverse Offerings
Mumbai's culinary scene embraced Ramadan 2026 with a rich array of Iftar experiences. Waarsa presented a heartfelt Awadhi 'mehman-nawazi' menu from February 17 to March 19, blending tradition with hospitality. The menu began with dates and sherbet to break the fast, followed by sigdi-roasted appetizers like Rampoori Paneer Tikka and Mandi Kebab, as well as Soundha Murgh Tikka and Atish-E-Jhinga. Signature slow-cooked dishes included Kathal Ki Nihari, Mutton Haleem, Paya Ki Nihari, and Tabrezi Murgh Ka Salan, served with traditional Bakharkhani bread. Ceremonial rice dishes such as Dudhiya Subz Biryani and Chuje Ki Dum Biryani were also featured. The sweet endings comprised Khajur Makhane Ki Kheer, Kulfi Malpua, Gajar Halwa, and Falooda. These curated iftars were available for groups of 10-12 guests. BarQat at the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar offered its 'Ramadan Dastarkhawn-e-Haleem' from February 19 to March 19, celebrating slow-cooked abundance. Their haleem, made with wheat and lentils simmered to a velvety texture, was infused with hand-pounded mutton, chicken, seafood, or vegetarian options like jackfruit and lotus stem. The menu explored Deccani smoky flavors, Murgh Nizami, coastal 'Samundri Khazaana', and vegetarian variations, all paired with dum biryanis and desserts like Double Ka Meetha. Additionally, The Fern Mumbai, Goregaon – Series by Marriott, through its rooftop venue Beiruna, offered curated Iftaar & Sehri Boxes. These boxes featured vibrant Middle Eastern mezze such as Hummus and Fattoush, followed by Za'atar Chicken and Shish Tawook grills. Main courses included Dawood Baasha and Mandi Rice with Zahawik, concluding with desserts like Kunafa in Orange Blossom Syrup and Muhallabia, along with Stuffed Dates and a Khajoor Milkshake. Finally, Fairmont Mumbai's Samaa hosted 'Mehfil-e-Samaa', an immersive Middle Eastern Iftar inspired by Ramadan evenings in various global cities. Guests enjoyed beverages like Jallab and Qamar al-Din, mezze such as hummus and moutabal, and live counters for falafel and chicken shawarma. Main courses included Machbous Al Dijaj and lamb tagine, with desserts like baklava and rose Umm Ali. The venue transformed into a poolside gathering with an Arabic drummer as the evening progressed.
Jaipur's Reflective Gathering
In Jaipur, The LaLiT Jaipur embraced the serene spirit of Ramadan at its restaurant Baluchi. Throughout the period from February 18 to March 19, 2026, evenings were designed to foster warmth, reflection, and a sense of togetherness, aligning with the holy month's emphasis on prayer, gratitude, and meaningful connections. The hotel presented a meticulously curated 4-course TDH (Table d'hôte) Iftar set menu. This special menu was crafted by their chefs to integrate traditional Iftar favorites with wholesome flavors, aiming to strike a refined balance between authenticity and the establishment's signature culinary expertise. The goal was to create a dining experience that felt both comforting and celebratory for all who attended during the designated timings of 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
