Desert Oasis Redefined
The iconic Amangiri resort in Utah has elevated its luxury offerings with the debut of its first new villa, a spectacular addition to a planned collection
of 12 residences. Designed to immerse guests within the dramatic desert environment, this six-bedroom villa boasts expansive glass walls that blur the lines between indoor comfort and the majestic Utah landscape. Crafted using natural materials and thoughtful architecture, the residence is a testament to harmonious integration with its surroundings. Set across nine acres, it provides an exclusive haven, promising an experience that is both secluded and deeply connected to the natural beauty of southern Utah's sandstone mesas and buttes. The design philosophy centers on allowing the external environment to become an integral part of the living space, creating a unique sense of place and tranquility for all who stay.
Exclusive Amenities Ensured
This new six-bedroom villa represents a significant expansion for Amangiri, addressing a growing need for secluded, private spaces for larger groups, such as multigenerational families or friends traveling together. Beyond its luxurious accommodation, the residence features a comprehensive private spa complete with a sauna and steam room, offering a sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation. For fitness enthusiasts, a dedicated gym is available, ensuring wellness routines can be maintained. The centerpiece is an impressive 118-foot swimming pool, designed to complement the vast desert vistas. Guests are further indulged with a personal chef ready to craft bespoke culinary experiences, a dedicated host to manage every detail of their stay, and access to the resort's full spectrum of amenities. This includes curated excursions, spa treatments, and guided cultural and outdoor adventures, all designed to provide an unforgettable and personalized stay.
Architectural Harmony Achieved
The architectural vision for the new villa is a continuation of Amangiri's original design principles, conceived by Marwan Al-Sayed, one of the resort's initial architects. The structure is intentionally built low to the ground, utilizing concrete, wood, and glass to artfully frame the surrounding cliffs and capture the dynamic interplay of light across the desert. A striking oculus skylight positioned above the 12-seat dining table draws inspiration from the natural formations of Utah's slot canyons, creating a unique dining ambiance. Meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout, from the inviting gas firepit on the private terrace to the comfort of heated floors in the expansive bathrooms. A deep soaking tub, strategically placed beneath a window, offers a direct connection to the sandstone formations, making relaxation an immersive experience deeply rooted in the environment.
Culinary and Experiential Delights
Dining at the villa is a personalized journey, with a private chef curating menus that reflect the local flavors and guest preferences. One evening might feature a Utah barbecue with grilled steaks and cornbread complemented by sage-lavender honey butter, while another could present a Peruvian feast or a Native American-inspired spread including blue corn polenta, ash bread, and roasted elk. Guests have the choice of dining indoors beneath the slot-canyon-inspired skylight or al fresco on the pool deck, surrounded by the breathtaking desert panorama. Each villa is also assigned a dedicated host who proactively collaborates with guests prior to arrival to plan custom itineraries, including personalized spa treatments and private stargazing sessions with local astronomy experts, ensuring every aspect of the stay is perfectly tailored.
Adventure and Cultural Immersion
Beyond the serene comfort of the villa, guests are invited to explore a variety of adventurous and culturally enriching activities. Options range from guided via ferrata climbs and kayaking excursions on the Colorado River to exhilarating helicopter rides that ascend to the summit of Tower Butte for sunrise yoga or a gourmet breakfast overlooking the canyon. Amangiri maintains strong partnerships with the Navajo Nation, offering authentic slot canyon tours and on-site weekly cultural events such as dreamcatcher workshops and hoop dancing performances, providing deep insight into indigenous traditions. Villa guests can also engage with the broader resort's offerings, including morning Pilates, rejuvenating treatments at the expansive 24,757-square-foot Aman Spa, or guided hikes to ancient petroglyph sites like the Broken Arrow cave, connecting them to the region's rich history and natural wonders.
