While direct AI usage isn't a formal component of performance reviews, it demonstrably influences promotion considerations. An Amazon representative emphasized the company's focus on AI adoption, highlighting efforts to celebrate innovation and operational efficiency gains driven by these tools, whether during formal review periods or throughout the year.
Google's Performance Integration

According to Salesforce's president of enterprise and AI technology, the company meticulously tracks adoption rates, viewing AI non-usage as a strong indicator of potential underperformance. The CEO of software maker Autodesk noted that encouraging AI adoption wasn't always straightforward, with initial access to tools being a significant hurdle, sometimes leading employees to use unauthorized AI solutions.
