Accessing Your Scorecard
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2026 results, which
were conducted on March 7, 2026. Candidates can now access their individual scorecards exclusively through the NBEMS online portal. To retrieve your results, navigate to the official NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in, and locate the 'GPAT 2026 Result' link. Upon clicking, you will be prompted to log in using your application identification number and password. Your scorecard, detailing your performance and merit rank, will then be displayed. It is crucial to download and save this document for all subsequent admission and scholarship application processes, as NBEMS will not dispatch physical copies to individual candidates.
Understanding Qualifying Criteria
To be considered qualified for MPharm admissions and scholarship opportunities, candidates must meet specific criteria as outlined in the GPAT 2026 information bulletin. Qualification hinges on achieving both a minimum percentile score and falling within a certain merit-based rank. The minimum qualifying percentile varies by category: candidates in the General and EWS categories require the 50th percentile, while those in OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD categories need to achieve the 45th percentile. Beyond the percentile threshold, candidates must also rank within the top 10% of all participants. This year, 5,362 individuals have met these requirements and are deemed qualified, subject to any applicable reservation policies.
Rank and Tie-Breaking
Your GPAT rank signifies your overall standing among all candidates who appeared for the examination. NBEMS has established a clear policy for determining inter-se merit in instances where multiple candidates achieve identical scores. These tie-breaking rules, detailed in the official information bulletin, involve evaluating specific performance metrics and adherence to predefined assessment protocols by NBEMS. This ensures a fair and transparent ranking system for all participants, irrespective of score ties.
Answer Key Revisions
Following the release of the provisional answer key on March 13, 2026, NBEMS conducted a thorough review based on candidate objections and expert analysis. This review led to significant changes in the evaluation. Notably, seven questions were identified as technically flawed, and consequently, full marks have been awarded to all candidates for these questions, regardless of whether they attempted them. Additionally, the correct answers for four other questions were revised after expert consultation, ensuring greater accuracy in the final result computation.
Next Steps for Candidates
With the GPAT 2026 results now declared, qualified candidates can confidently proceed with their MPharm admissions and scholarship applications. Pharmacy institutions and relevant authorities will utilize these GPAT scores to compile admission lists and establish cut-off marks. NBEMS strongly advises all candidates to regularly monitor the official website for the latest updates concerning scorecard availability, counselling schedules, and admission timelines for various institutions. Staying informed is key to navigating the admission process smoothly.
