Program Overview
IIT Delhi's Continuing Education Programme is launching the eighth iteration of its acclaimed Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence,
Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Previously known as the Certificate Programme in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, this comprehensive course is meticulously crafted for graduates and postgraduates eager to master AI, ML, and DL technologies, even if they have no prior experience in these domains. The program is set to commence on 26th July 2026 and will conclude on 22nd January 2027. Delivered via the eVIDYA online platform, it ensures accessibility for learners across India and globally, allowing them to participate conveniently from their residences. Admissions are presently open for this enriching educational opportunity, with a program fee of ₹1,95,000 plus an 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST). The extensive curriculum encompasses 80 hours of live online instruction, supplemented by engaging assignments, regular quizzes, culminating capstone projects, and an optional, immersive one-day campus visit to IIT Delhi for an in-person experience.
Comprehensive Curriculum Details
The IIT Delhi CEP's advanced program delves deep into the spectrum of AI, ML, and DL, starting with foundational elements such as Python programming, essential data analytics techniques, and applied mathematics to build a robust understanding. As participants progress, the curriculum navigates through core machine learning concepts and sophisticated deep learning architectures, including detailed modules on neural networks and their various applications within AI. A significant focus is placed on practical, real-world applications, equipping learners with the proficiency to utilize industry-standard tools like Python, TensorFlow, Keras, and Scikit-learn. Furthermore, the program integrates specialized sessions on cutting-edge areas such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI, ensuring participants are exposed to the latest advancements in the field and are prepared for future technological challenges.
Hands-On Learning Approach
A cornerstone of this program is its emphasis on practical application through a 'Bring Your Own Project' (BYOP) capstone experience. This unique component empowers participants to conceptualize and implement a real-world AI/ML solution, directly applying the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course. The learning journey is further solidified by a series of assignments and quizzes designed to reinforce understanding of key concepts. Live online sessions are a crucial element, fostering interactive engagement between learners, IIT faculty members, and seasoned industry experts, providing invaluable insights and opportunities for clarifying doubts. Eligibility and Evaluation
To be considered for this program, candidates must hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in fields such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, electronics, physics, AI, data science, or closely related disciplines. The program's assessment methodology is designed to evaluate a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. It comprises a 50% weightage for an end-of-programme Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) examination, a 20% allocation for assignments and quizzes, another 20% for the capstone project, and a final 10% for overall attendance, ensuring a well-rounded evaluation of participant performance and engagement.
