Seamless Boarding Experience
Getting on the new European Sleeper train is designed to be straightforward and stress-free. Both in Paris and Berlin, the train is typically at the platform
10 to 15 minutes before its scheduled departure. This ample window means you don't need to rush through security checks, as none are required for this service. Simply arriving about 15 minutes ahead of time is more than sufficient to find your designated carriage and settle in. Platform information is usually confirmed around 15 to 30 minutes prior to arrival. Once the train pulls in, friendly stewards will be on hand to guide you to your specific wagon. Upon entering, a steward will introduce themselves, offer you a refreshing bottle of water, and confirm your seat reservation. For any needs that arise during your journey, a convenient call button is located within your cabin.
Diverse Service Classes
The train offers three distinct service classes to cater to different traveler needs and budgets: Budget, Classic, and Comfort. Regardless of the class you select, the cabins themselves are uniform in size and feature a sliding door with curtains for privacy. The primary distinction lies in the accommodation and amenities provided. Budget class is designed for six passengers per cabin, featuring three seats facing three across a small table. These seats do not convert into beds, meaning travelers in this class will remain seated overnight. Budget and Classic passengers share common restroom facilities, with two additional basin-only washrooms available at the end of each car. For those opting for Classic class, the cabins accommodate five passengers and offer the flexibility of transforming from seating to sleeping. Fold-down beds emerge from the wall, complete with a pillow and fresh bedding. The process of preparing the sleeping area, including unfurling ladders and making the beds, is a collaborative effort. Each sleeper is cocooned in a sleep-bag style sheet with an additional blanket for warmth. Options for open seating or women-only cabins are available. Comfort class is the most exclusive, accommodating up to three passengers. It features more plush seating that converts into beds, complete with thick duvet covers. A small cupboard reveals a vanity mirror and a sink basin. Shared toilets are located at the end of the wagon. Each sleeping berth includes a personal bedside lamp for individual lighting. Power outlets are shared, typically one or two per cabin, located near the window, and Wi-Fi is not provided. Luggage can be stored beneath your seat or on an overhead shelf. The train operates its overnight route smoothly between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., ensuring an undisturbed journey.
Onboard Refreshments
Given that most passengers board the train around or after dinner and disembark in the morning, the onboard dining options are limited to snacks and breakfast. It's common practice for travelers to bring their own dinner or snacks purchased at the station before departure. For those who wish to purchase items on the train, a selection of soft drinks, coffee, wine, and various snacks are available. These can be ordered directly to your cabin. Breakfast service, which typically includes yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, and bread, can be pre-ordered when you book your ticket or arranged upon boarding via a QR code accessible within the cabin. This streamlined approach ensures that passengers can enjoy essential refreshments without interrupting the overnight journey.
