Historic ESA Partnership
Rocket Lab has recently marked its 85th successful launch, a significant milestone highlighted by its first dedicated mission for the European Space Agency
(ESA). This historic flight, christened "Daughter Of The Stars," commenced on March 28th from Rocket Lab's launch site in New Zealand. The primary objective of this mission was to precisely place ESA's "Celeste" mission into its designated orbit. This payload comprises the initial two spacecraft for a new satellite navigation demonstration project, designed to operate in low Earth orbit at an altitude of 510 kilometers. The successful deployment signifies a crucial step in advancing satellite navigation technologies and reinforces the growing alliance between Rocket Lab and ESA in their pursuit of innovative space solutions.
