The much-anticipated Divine East Temple Tour, operated by IRCTC on the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train, commenced its spiritual odyssey from Delhi's
Safdarjung Railway Station on March 09, 2026. This meticulously planned pilgrimage is designed to make accessing revered religious destinations more convenient for travelers. Recognizing the profound importance of pilgrimage in Indian culture, where visiting holy sites is considered a life-enriching experience and a boon to local economies, IRCTC has curated this tour to facilitate spiritual seekers. The journey promises not only spiritual fulfillment but also a deep dive into the rich cultural tapestry of India, connecting travelers with ancient traditions and sacred landscapes.
Sacred Destinations Unveiled
This spiritually enriching expedition aboard the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train will guide travelers through a curated selection of India's most significant religious and cultural hubs over a span of 10 days. The itinerary includes the holy city of Varanasi, famous for the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the captivating Ganga Aarti. It then proceeds to the vibrant city of Kolkata, the cultural capital, offering glimpses of historical landmarks like the Victoria Memorial and sacred temples such as Kali Ghat and Dakshineshwar Kali Mandir. A highlight is the excursion to Gangasagar, where pilgrims can take a sacred dip at Sagar Sangam and seek blessings at Kapil Muni Temple. The journey continues to Puri, home to the revered Shri Jagannath Temple, before exploring the extensive Odisha circuit, encompassing Bhubaneswar, the ancient Dhauli Shanti Stupa, Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Konark Sun Temple. The final spiritual stop is Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, one of Lord Shiva's twelve Jyotirlingas, before the train returns to Delhi.
