Limited Flights Restart
As of March 7, 2026, Dubai Airports confirmed a partial restart of operations at both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
This phased resumption allows a select number of airlines to gradually reinstate services on specific routes. Major UAE carriers are among those beginning to restore their flight schedules. The authorities have emphasized that safety remains the paramount concern, and all travelers are urged to remain attentive to airline advisories and confirm their flight status before traveling to the airport. This follows a period of disruption to flight operations across the UAE, significantly impacted by prevailing regional tensions which led to airspace closures and security concerns, affecting numerous flights globally and prompting temporary suspensions or rerouting by various airlines.
Passenger Guidance Issued
Dubai Airports has communicated that operations are resuming in stages, with a limited number of flights now departing from and arriving at DXB and DWC. The airport's official statement on X on March 7th urged passengers not to proceed to the airport unless they have received confirmation from their airline regarding their flight's status, as schedules are subject to ongoing modifications. Some flights connecting the UAE with destinations in India, Europe, and other regions have already recommenced. However, it's important to understand that a complete return to normal operational capacity has not yet been achieved, and flight schedules continue to be dynamic and prone to changes due to the evolving circumstances. Travelers are advised to stay informed and rely on official communications from their respective airlines for the most up-to-date information.
Airline Updates & Advice
Emirates has also issued an update, confirming the resumption of its operations on March 7th. Passengers with confirmed bookings for flights scheduled for the afternoon were advised they could proceed to the airport. This confirmation extends to transit passengers, provided their connecting flights are also operational. The airline encourages customers to visit emirat.es/nowoperating to check current flight schedules and book tickets. Emirates is continuously monitoring the situation and adapting its operational plan accordingly, expressing gratitude for passengers' understanding and patience. The airline reiterated that the safety of its passengers and crew is its highest priority and will not be compromised. Key travel guidelines from airport authorities include confirming flight tickets before departure, being prepared for potential schedule adjustments, consistently checking airline updates, and maintaining flexibility with travel plans.
