Job Creation & Support
The NDA's manifesto primarily focuses on job creation and economic empowerment within Bihar. The commitment is to offer over 1 crore government jobs to the
youth. In addition to this substantial employment pledge, the alliance has announced plans to extend financial assistance. Specifically, members of the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) are slated to receive Rs 10 lakh. Complementing this, the manifesto outlines strategies for industrial growth, including establishing 10 new industrial parks and factories in every district. Simultaneously, the NDA intends to support one crore women in becoming Lakhpati Didis, underscoring its commitment to economic advancement and women's empowerment. Furthermore, the manifesto plans to increase the annual Kisan Samman Nidhi assistance from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000, along with guaranteeing a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops, providing significant backing to the agricultural sector.
Infrastructure Upgrades
Infrastructure development is a cornerstone of the NDA's vision for Bihar. The alliance has committed to significant infrastructure projects to modernize the state. A key aspect of this commitment involves the development of international airports across several cities, specifically Patna, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur. Along with airport enhancements, the manifesto details the implementation of metro rail projects in Patna, Gaya, Purnia, and Bhagalpur. This emphasis on enhancing transportation infrastructure aims to facilitate economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents by ensuring better connectivity and reduced travel times. Furthermore, the plans extend to establishing 7 new expressways, which are intended to improve transport links and boost connectivity, facilitating trade and movement across the state.
Education and Welfare
The NDA's manifesto strongly emphasizes education and social welfare initiatives to uplift the citizens of Bihar. The manifesto's proposals include opening residential schools for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in every division. This commitment is intended to enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged communities. Moreover, the manifesto introduces a financial incentive for students pursuing higher education, offering a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000. Further steps include providing breakfast along with mid-day meals and establishing medical colleges in every district to enhance healthcare access throughout Bihar. In the realm of social welfare, the NDA pledges Rs 10 lakh in financial aid for Scheduled Castes and Extremely Backward Classes. Additionally, they plan to build 50 lakh new houses, ensuring that affordable housing reaches a wider segment of the population. Also, there are plans to provide free electricity up to 125 units, coupled with expanding social security pensions to support vulnerable and needy individuals within the state.
