Coastal Oasis Unveiled
California's Central Coast is welcoming a spectacular new addition to its picturesque shoreline with the impending arrival of Pacific Point Resort. Scheduled
to open its doors in July 2026, this expansive oceanfront property in Pismo Beach is a reimagining of two existing hotels, the Pismo Lighthouse Suites and the Shore Cliff Hotel. The resort boasts 170 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, each offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Perched 90 feet above the water, it provides unparalleled vistas and direct access to a stunning stretch of coastline. The prime location, easily accessible from Highway 1, also connects guests to the scenic Pismo Coastal Access Trail for leisurely blufftop strolls and is in close proximity to the Pismo Preserve, offering ample opportunities for hiking and biking adventures.
Immersive Ocean Experience
Pacific Point Resort is meticulously designed to immerse guests in the natural beauty of its surroundings, making the ocean the undisputed star of the show. As noted by Heather Stege, chief operating officer of Peregrine Hospitality, the resort aims to capture the essence of Pismo Beach's classic California charm while highlighting its magnificent wildlife. Guests will find thoughtful amenities designed to enhance their connection with the environment, including in-room binoculars for horizon gazing and watercolor kits for artistic expression inspired by the scenery. A novel whale watch dispatch service utilizes a text-alert system to notify guests the moment whales or dolphins are spotted offshore, ensuring no one misses a potential sighting. This commitment to celebrating local marine life forms a core part of the guest experience.
Distinctive Accommodations & Pools
The resort's interior design, curated by SFA Design, offers two distinct aesthetic experiences across its guest accommodations. The 100 rooms and suites within the Shore Cliff section draw inspiration from a 1970s California road trip, featuring a palette of earthy tones, iconic tulip lamps, vintage photography, and custom mural wallcoverings that depict serene coastal landscapes. In contrast, the Lighthouse and Ocean House suites, totaling 40 and 30 respectively, embrace a more contemporary beach-town vibe. These spaces are adorned with surf-inspired details and artwork created by local artists and photographers, celebrating the area's rich shoreline heritage and vibrant culture. Beyond the rooms, the resort features two swimming pools, with one set to become the largest in Pismo Beach, complemented by an expansive sun deck equipped with fire pits and lawn games for relaxation and recreation.
Gastronomy & Local Flavors
Culinary delights at Pacific Point Resort are centered around the casual, all-day dining venue, Pacific Market. The menu transitions throughout the day, starting with coffee, pastries, and quiche in the morning. As the day progresses, it shifts to offer a selection of sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads. A unique feature of Pacific Market is its interactive self-serve wine wall, showcasing a curated collection of local vintages. Guests have the flexibility to choose their preferred pour size, allowing for a personalized tasting experience of the region's finest wines. This innovative approach to wine service complements the resort's overall theme of celebrating local culture and offerings.
