The Datia Palace, also known as the 'Satkhanda Palace' due to its seven stories, is a sight to behold. Commissioned by Raja Bir Singh Deo in the early
17th century, the palace reflects Bundela Rajputana artistry, a fusion of Indian and Mughal design. The palace has never been fully occupied.

The palace's construction was initiated in 1614 CE. Raja Bir Singh Deo, a loyal friend of Emperor Jahangir, commissioned its construction. Despite its grandeur, the palace never witnessed continuous habitation, adding to its enigmatic charm and historical significance, resonating deeply with IN's past.
