Diverse Travel Narratives
Since 1971, Travel + Leisure has been dedicated to enriching travel experiences by providing informed inspiration and guidance. Our editors have traversed
the globe extensively, utilizing various modes of transport and visiting a multitude of locations, from bustling metropolises to secluded hamlets, iconic landmarks to undiscovered corners, and from coastal shores to rugged mountains. This vast reservoir of knowledge, encompassing destinations worldwide, aviation, nautical voyages, accommodations, culinary delights, beverages, and outdoor pursuits, allows us to translate our practical encounters into actionable trip suggestions, thorough insights, and creative sparks at every stage of a traveler's itinerary.
The 'Traveling As' Series
Vacations are as distinctive as individual fingerprints, mirroring our unique selves. Even the most frequented global hotspots, such as Paris, New York City, and Tokyo, can offer a completely novel experience based on who is sharing their account. As part of Travel + Leisure’s initiative, 'Traveling As,' we are committed to engaging with and learning from travelers to understand how they perceive and navigate the world. This ongoing project aims to collect impactful and inspiring stories from a wide array of individuals. We feature narratives such as that of a solo traveler who is legally blind, a Paralympian who is a double amputee, and a father who consistently ensures his son, who has autism, is an integral part of their explorations. The core idea is to celebrate the individuality of travel and how it is interpreted and lived.
