The NTA, responding to requests from candidates, has decided to extend the deadline for submitting online applications for the CUET PG 2026 examination.
Previously set for January 20, the last date for submitting applications has been pushed to January 23, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. This extension offers a window of opportunity for prospective candidates who may have been unable to complete their applications within the original timeframe. This change is meant to allow more candidates to successfully apply for the examination.
How to Apply
To apply for the CUET PG 2026 exam, candidates must first visit the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/. The application process involves a series of straightforward steps. First, navigate to the homepage and click on the application portal. Then, select the “New Candidate Register Here” link. After registering, applicants must fill out the application form, providing all necessary details and uploading their photograph and signature. Following this, candidates are required to pay the application fee and submit the completed form to finalize their application for the CUET PG 2026 examination. The last date to submit fees is January 25, so make sure to do so before the deadline.
Exam Details Unveiled
The CUET PG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted in March. The question paper will consist of 75 questions, remaining the same as in the previous year. However, there has been a change in the examination duration; the exam will now be 90 minutes long, a reduction from the 1 hour 45 minutes allotted previously. Each correct answer will be awarded four marks, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. Unanswered or unattempted questions will not receive any marks. Furthermore, candidates must select the most appropriate option from the available choices to answer. In the General Paper, the comprehension section will be available in either English or Hindi, depending on the candidate's preferred language, which must be indicated during registration.
