Chery. This forthcoming model, built upon the foundation of the Jetour T2, will proudly sport a JSW emblem and a distinct identity tailored for the Indian market. Its manufacturing is slated to commence at JSW Motors' cutting-edge, eco-friendly facility located in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, signaling a significant step in the company's expansion and commitment to sustainable automotive production. The 'Join the Drive' campaign hints at a substantial expansion of the dealer network, ensuring wider accessibility for this innovative vehicle. This launch marks a pivotal moment, integrating advanced hybrid technology with rugged SUV capabilities, and is set to challenge existing norms in the segment. The upcoming SUV boasts an imposing presence, measuring 4,785mm in length, 2,006mm in width, and 1,875mm in height, with a substantial 2,800mm wheelbase. Its design language evokes a strong, utilitarian appeal, reminiscent of iconic off-road vehicles, featuring a commanding upright stance and a muscular, boxy silhouette. The exterior is accentuated by a prominent grille, sharp, square-shaped LED headlamps, robust wheel arches clad with all-terrain tires, practical roof rails, and integrated side steps, all contributing to its adventurous persona. Internationally, the T2 i-DM variant showcases a potent combination: a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generating 154bhp and 220Nm of torque, coupled with a plug-in hybrid system. This system features two electric motors situated at the front, collectively producing an impressive maximum output of 221bhp and a peak torque of 390Nm. Powering this sophisticated setup is a substantial 26.7kWh battery pack, which is reportedly capable of delivering an all-electric driving range of up to 139 kilometres on a single charge.
