Navigating the Char Dham Route
The revered Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand commences with the opening of Gangotri and Yamunotri on Akshaya Tritiya in 2026. This pilgrimage encompasses
four sacred destinations: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, traditionally traversed in that order. While Yamunotri and Gangotri offer direct road access, the path to Kedarnath involves a 16-18 km trek from Gaurikund, the last motorable point, though helicopter services are an alternative. Badrinath, the final destination, is conveniently accessible by road, concluding this profound spiritual odyssey.
