Fatal Diagnosis Revealed
The comprehensive post-mortem examination of Prateek Yadav, the younger son of the late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, has officially concluded
that his death was attributable to a sudden cardiac arrest. This critical medical event was a direct consequence of a severe pulmonary thromboembolism, a condition where blood clots, typically originating in the legs or pelvic area, dislodge and travel to the lungs, obstructing the pulmonary arteries. Medical professionals stated that this catastrophic blockage led to a cardiorespiratory collapse, ultimately proving fatal for the 38-year-old. Samples from the cardiac and pulmonary systems were meticulously preserved for further histopathological testing, while the body's viscera have been dispatched for chemical analysis and are now under the purview of the investigating authorities. Prateek Yadav had reportedly been suffering from a prolonged illness prior to his passing.
Injury Marks Detailed
Beyond the primary cause of death, the autopsy report also documented the presence of six distinct injury marks on various parts of Prateek Yadav's body. These marks indicated signs of significant contusions and underlying blood accumulation. Specifically, injuries were observed on the right side of his chest, right arm, right forearm (with two separate marks), right elbow, and left wrist. The largest injury, measuring an extensive 14x7 cm, was located on the front of the chest, exhibiting reddish-brown discoloration at its center and greenish-yellow hues at its periphery. Other injuries varied in size, with one on the back of the right arm measuring 19x12 cm and another on the right forearm at 24x8 cm. Medical experts classified all six injuries as 'ante-mortem,' meaning they occurred prior to his death. Further analysis suggested that the first three injuries were estimated to be between five and seven days old, while the remaining three appeared to have been sustained approximately one day before his demise. The presence of blood accumulation beneath these injuries corroborated the medical assessment.
Circumstances of Death
Information regarding the timeline of events leading to Prateek Yadav's death indicates that doctors were alerted to a sudden decline in his health around 5 am on the day of his passing. Responding to the emergency, medical personnel were dispatched to his residence. Subsequently, he was transported to Civil Hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead at approximately 5:55 am. Prateek Yadav, who was the half-brother of current Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, died in Lucknow. While the autopsy firmly established pulmonary thromboembolism as the direct cause of his cardiac arrest, the presence and timing of the ante-mortem injuries add a layer of complexity to the narrative surrounding his final days. The viscera have been sent for chemical analysis, and the findings will be crucial for the ongoing investigation by the authorities.
