Diverse Domain Opportunities
SEBI's program opens doors across five key domains, catering to a broad spectrum of academic backgrounds. The Securities Market Operations division seeks 40 professionals, Law requires 13, Research needs 4, Information Technology has 29 openings, and Rajbasha (Official Language) has 5 positions, totaling 91 opportunities. This diverse offering ensures that individuals with specialized skills can find a fitting role. Applicants are permitted to apply for only one domain, encouraging focused applications based on their expertise and career aspirations.
Eligibility Criteria Unveiled
Prospective Young Professionals must meet specific educational qualifications for each domain. For Securities Market Operations, a postgraduate degree or 2-year diploma in Management (Finance specialization) with 60% aggregate marks, or Chartered Accountant/Company Secretary/Cost Management Accountant with 55% in final level, or successful completion of all three CFA levels are accepted. Law aspirants need a Bachelor's Degree in Law with a minimum of 60%. Research roles demand a postgraduate qualification in Management (Finance), Economics, Commerce, or related fields, with a preference for PhD holders in finance or economics. Information Technology requires a B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields, MCA, MSc, or MBA (Systems/Analytics) with at least 60%. For Rajbasha, a Master's in Hindi/Translation with English at Bachelor's level, or Master's in Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce with Hindi at Bachelor's, or Master's in both English and Hindi is necessary. All qualifications must be from recognized institutions.
Essential Skills & Requirements
Beyond formal qualifications, SEBI seeks candidates possessing a robust understanding of financial markets, strong analytical capabilities, and proficiency with IT tools. Excellent oral and written communication skills are paramount, alongside sound judgment and interpersonal abilities. Applicants must be Indian citizens and not exceed 30 years of age as of the advertisement's publication date. The engagement is for one year, with the potential for two subsequent one-year extensions based on performance and organizational needs, capping the total tenure at three years.
Stipend and Posting Details
Successful candidates will be posted at SEBI's Head Office in Mumbai and will receive a monthly stipend of ₹70,000. For those not residing in or around Mumbai, unfurnished shared accommodation may be provided by the Board, contingent upon availability. It's important to note that no additional payments or reimbursements will be made if accommodation is unavailable. The application window remains open for 21 days from the advertisement's newspaper publication, with selection involving application screening, a preliminary interview, and a final interview.
