The Indian market showcased robust performance with the Nifty and Sensex experiencing significant gains, fueled by power and banking stocks. Real estate
saw a surge in Private Equity (PE) investments, reaching $6.7 billion. Sawai Capital announced plans to deploy Rs 500 crore in the fourth quarter. Foreign Exchange Reserves also saw an increase, reaching USD 696.61 billion, which is a positive indicator of economic strength. Simultaneously, the Rupee's value against the USD experienced a decline, settling at 90.20.
Sectoral Growth
Several sectors observed notable growth. Suzuki India reported a 26% increase in sales during December. Force Motors also witnessed a substantial rise in sales, with a 49% increase in December 2025. Bank credit to the industry increased by 9.6% in November, according to RBI data, indicating increased economic activity. JNPA container traffic increased by 12.64% in 2025. UCO Bank reported a 13% business growth in Q3, reaching Rs 5.54 lakh crore. Marico expects high revenue growth in Q3 as well.
Government Initiatives
Government policies and approvals played a vital role in several developments. The AP government approved a Port & Shipbuilding Cluster in Tirupati. The extension of the Textile PLI Scheme deadline to March 31 was announced. Furthermore, ECMS approvals boosted India's electronics manufacturing sector.
