Simple Mithi Roti Recipe
Nauheed Cyrusi shared the process for making her favorite mithi roti in a video post, explaining that it might be a Parsi specialty. She begins by placing a generous dollop of ghee into a frying pan. A pre-made roti is then added to the pan, allowing it to absorb the rich ghee on one side before being expertly flipped to toast the other. The crucial final step involves generously sprinkling sugar over the roti and continuing to cook until it achieves a delightful crispness. Nauheed emphasized that only regular sugar is suitable for this recipe, playfully dismissing alternatives like monk fruit, cement, or putty. She humorously added that a small amount of sugar won't harm one's diet and that completely eliminating such treats can be detrimental to overall well-being. Her husband, Rustom, gave the crispy mithi roti a glowing review, particularly praising its perfect texture.
