Extended Range Unveiled
A noteworthy addition has arrived in the Indian electric scooter market, specifically within a popular model's lineup. This new iteration is equipped with a substantial
5.2kWh battery pack, significantly enhancing its travel potential. Priced enticingly at Rs 1.30 lakh as an introductory offer, this price point is set to remain valid until April 15, 2026, making it an attractive proposition for early adopters. A key highlight of this updated model is its impressive internal driving cycle (IDC) range, which now extends to an extensive 320 kilometers on a full charge. This scooter also achieves a respectable top speed of 125 kilometers per hour, ensuring a brisk and efficient ride. The technological innovation behind this extended range lies in the locally developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery technology, underscoring a commitment to indigenous development and manufacturing. This model stands as the premier offering within its series, designed to offer enhanced performance and utility.
Performance and Features
This electric scooter, powered by its robust 5.2kWh battery, shares a powerful 11kW motor with its 4kWh counterpart, allowing it to reach a top speed of 125 km/h. The acceleration is notably quick, enabling it to go from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. While the top speed remains consistent across battery options, the larger 5.2kWh variant significantly outperforms the 4kWh version in terms of travel distance, offering a 320 km range compared to the latter's 242 km. Riders can select from four distinct riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco, allowing them to tailor their riding experience to different conditions and preferences. Safety is addressed with a front disc brake, providing reliable stopping power. The rider interface is managed through a clear and accessible 4.3-inch color display, providing essential information at a glance. This combination of features aims to deliver a comprehensive and user-friendly electric mobility solution for the Indian consumer.
Scaling Advanced Tech
The introduction of the 5.2kWh variant represents a strategic move to bring cutting-edge battery technology to a broader audience. By integrating the advanced 4680 Bharat Cell technology, previously utilized in more premium products, into a scooter designed for mass market appeal, the company is demonstrating its capability for rapid scaling. This approach is a direct result of vertical integration, a strategy that empowers deep innovation and swift deployment of technological advancements. The ability to swiftly bring sophisticated technology to a wider customer base faster is a key advantage. This new model signifies a convergence of performance, extended range, and large-scale production, moving closer to the goal of making electric vehicles a more accessible and practical choice for every Indian household.
