Base Pass Enhancements
The Ikon Base Pass for the 2026-2027 season offers a significant expansion of benefits, providing unlimited access to 14 resorts, a notable increase from
previous years. This includes newly added destinations like Arapahoe Basin in Colorado, which now offers unrestricted skiing without blackout dates. Additionally, passholders will enjoy five days of access, subject to blackout dates, at 39 other premier destinations. This broader access means more variety and flexibility for skiers and snowboarders looking to explore diverse terrains across North America. The Base Pass aims to provide substantial value, allowing more individuals to experience a wider array of skiing opportunities, even with some limitations on certain premium locations.

The 2026-2027 Ikon Pass opens doors to a breathtaking array of international ski destinations, promising a truly global winter experience. This includes iconic European locations such as Chamonix-Mont Blanc in France, the extensive Dolomiti Superski area in Italy, Grandvalira Resorts in Andorra, and the renowned slopes of Kitzbühel and Ischgl in Austria. Further afield, enthusiasts can explore the powder of Niseko United and Lotte Arai in Japan, enjoy the Australian Alps at Thredbo and Mt. Buller, and even hit the southern hemisphere's slopes at Valle Nevado in Chile. Swiss Alps enthusiasts can revel in St. Moritz and Zermatt, while New Zealand offers the Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, and Mt. Hutt experience. These international inclusions significantly broaden the horizons for Ikon Pass holders, offering a passport to some of the world's most celebrated mountain ranges.
Revolutionary Refund Policy
Alterra has introduced a groundbreaking refund policy for the 2026-2027 Ikon Pass season, setting a new standard for customer assurance in the industry. Skiers who purchase a pass but do not use it by January 15, 2027, are eligible for a full 100 percent refund. For those who have used their pass but only scanned it once by the same January 15th deadline, a 50 percent refund will be provided. This policy offers unprecedented flexibility and peace of mind, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of winter conditions and personal circumstances. It encourages pass purchases with the confidence that significant value can be recovered even if usage is minimal or non-existent, underscoring a commitment to passholder satisfaction.
Enhanced Perks and Savings
Beyond expanded access and improved refund options, the 2026-2027 Ikon Pass season is packed with valuable perks designed to enhance the overall skier experience. While full Ikon Pass holders receive 12 Friends and Family discount tickets, Base Pass holders will receive eight. Both pass types retain the popular 'First Tracks' benefit, offering early access one morning per month during January, February, and March at participating resorts. Additionally, a new partnership with UPS offers 25 percent off shipping ski bags and luggage, aiming to simplify travel. Passholders can also expect continued discounts on a range of partner brands, including The North Face, Smartwool, and more, adding further value to the season pass investment.
New Midwest Additions
The 2026-2027 Ikon Pass season welcomes three exciting new destinations in the Midwest, significantly expanding its reach in this region. Snowriver Mountain Resort in Michigan, Lutsen Mountains in Minnesota, and Granite Peak in Wisconsin are now part of the Ikon Pass network. These resorts will offer seven days of access on the full Ikon Pass and five days on the Ikon Base Pass. This integration brings fresh terrain and new experiences to Ikon Pass holders in the central United States, making it more accessible for a broader audience to enjoy diverse winter sports. These additions highlight Ikon's commitment to growing its network and offering varied destinations across different geographical areas.
