Redundant Fiber Foundation
To guarantee an unbroken digital experience during the AI Impact Summit, a highly resilient hardware arrangement was put in place. All event venues are now
equipped with a complete fiber optic backbone featuring four independent, protected pathways. This means that if any single fiber line experiences an issue or is compromised, the data flow will automatically reroute through an alternate path, ensuring continuous and reliable transmission. This advanced system is designed to prevent any service interruptions, particularly during critical moments like keynote addresses and live technology demonstrations, providing a solid foundation for the summit's digital operations.
Dense Small Cell Coverage
Complementing the robust fiber network, the infrastructure was further enhanced with an extensive deployment of small cells. Specifically, 55 small cells were strategically placed throughout the Bharat Mandapam complex, the primary venue. An additional 12 outdoor sites were also established to bolster signal strength and capacity in areas with high participant density. This dense arrangement of small cells is crucial for maintaining consistent and strong signal performance, even in crowded environments, thereby preventing network congestion and ensuring all attendees can access high-speed 5G services without degradation.
Augmented Transit Routes
The network enhancement initiative extended beyond the immediate event spaces to encompass the areas delegates would be using for transit. Existing network sites were meticulously optimized and upgraded to effectively serve not only the main venues but also the pathways leading to and from them, including traffic routes and entry/exit corridors. This thoughtful expansion ensures that connectivity remains strong and reliable for attendees as they move between different locations, maintaining a seamless digital journey throughout their participation in the summit.
Proactive 24/7 Monitoring
Continuous oversight of the entire network system is a top priority throughout the event's duration. Dedicated teams are on standby 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to meticulously monitor all roaming links. This constant vigilance ensures that visitors can enjoy a superior and uninterrupted experience on the 5G Plus network. Comprehensive site surveys were conducted beforehand to identify and eliminate any potential dead zones, enabling blanket 5G coverage and facilitating the dense deployment of small cells and dedicated fiber backhaul.
Surge Capacity Planning
Anticipating the possibility of significant data usage spikes, particularly during live streaming sessions and interactive AI showcases, the network was engineered to handle extreme scenarios. This preparation includes building substantial surge capacity to manage peak traffic in real time. A dedicated war room, staffed with on-site network experts working around the clock, serves as the central hub for managing these high-demand periods. This proactive approach ensures that the network can gracefully handle sudden increases in data traffic, maintaining optimal performance for all users.
