Sophistication Meets Space
The highly anticipated V-Class is making a grand re-entry into the Indian market, and this time it's all about refined elegance. Moving away from its more
utilitarian van roots, the facelifted model boasts a dramatically modernized exterior. A prominent, redesigned grille commands attention at the front, complemented by updated headlights that lend a sharper, more contemporary look. The rear features an upright tailgate with ample glass and newly styled vertical taillights, reinforcing its premium appeal. Depending on the chosen trim level – Premium, Exclusive, or AMG Line – owners can expect distinctive wheel designs and unique bumper styling. Internationally, this generation offers two wheelbase options: a standard 3,200mm and an extended 3,430mm, ensuring exceptional cabin flexibility. This adaptability translates into various seating arrangements, from a practical 8-seater configuration to a more executive-focused 7-seater, and even a lavish 6-seater setup featuring dual captain's chairs in the rear.
Intuitive Cabin Experience
Step inside the new V-Class, and you're greeted by an interior that prioritizes both luxury and user-friendliness. A thoughtful blend of physical buttons and tactile knobs ensures that operating various functions remains intuitive and accessible, avoiding the frustration of overly complex touch-only interfaces. The cabin is dominated by two large 12.3-inch screens seamlessly integrated into the dashboard. One screen serves as the primary infotainment display, offering access to entertainment, navigation, and connectivity features, while the second screen functions as a fully digital instrument cluster, providing drivers with all essential driving information in a clear and customizable format. This dual-screen setup creates a modern, high-tech ambiance while maintaining a connection to traditional automotive controls.
Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the international version of the V-Class is equipped with a capable 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, available in two distinct power outputs. The entry-level 220d variant produces a respectable 163 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. For those seeking more vigorous performance, the higher-spec 300d model churns out a potent 237 horsepower and a substantial 500 Nm of torque. Both engine options are paired with a smooth-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission, ensuring effortless acceleration and cruising. Customers have the choice between a traditional rear-wheel-drive setup for agile handling or an all-wheel-drive system for enhanced traction and stability in various conditions. While an all-electric EQV variant is available globally, its introduction to the Indian market is considered unlikely at this juncture.
