Artful Texture Play
The collection's centerpiece, worn by muse Aneet Padda, was a breathtaking demonstration of "texture play." This sleeveless mini dress, in shades of blue,
was adorned with intricate floral appliqués. These were not mere prints but three-dimensional blooms that appeared to imbue the garment with life, shifting and flowing with each movement. Complementing the dress was a cropped, deep blue jacket featuring a plush, tactile finish. This piece offered a structured, comforting contrast to the delicate floral embellishments, highlighting Péro's signature ability to harmonize soft and structured elements, creating a truly captivating visual and tactile experience.
Immersive Show Experience
Long before the first model graced the runway, Péro meticulously crafted an immersive experience for its audience. The 'Out of Office' collection's presentation began with details like a tiny gold paperclip on the invitation and the subtle integration of the brand's heart motif, signaling the thoughtful design approach. Live music by Stefan Kaye further enhanced the atmosphere. The set design was a brilliant concept, transforming the fashion runway into a whimsical corporate headquarters. Faux office partitions bearing department names like "Human Resource Department" and "Textile and Sampling" hung from the ceiling, while vintage telephones and keyboards were strategically placed on desks, evoking a sense of nostalgia and futuristic vision within a decidedly cool, quirky office setting.
Joyful Maximalist Design
The collection itself exuded an overwhelming sense of joy, artfully balancing the functional requirements of everyday wear with a generous dose of playful creativity. Garments were embellished with an array of charms, pom-poms, and fringes, even incorporating quirky quotes, ensuring that each knit and embellishment commanded individual attention. The accessories were equally imaginative, featuring eye-catching headgear and distinctive footwear that perfectly complemented the layered, maximalist styling. The partnership with the FDCI further cemented the collection's impact, clearly demonstrating Péro's successful redefinition of "work-life balance" through its unique design philosophy.
Redefining Corporate Style
Aneet Padda, alongside the Péro label, delivered a memorable closing to Lakmé Fashion Week, completely challenging conventional notions of office attire. The runway was artfully reimagined as an aspirational workspace, a departure from the typical perception of a dull "office grind." Since the fashion event commenced on March 19, the industry had eagerly awaited a genuinely "showstopping" moment, and Aneet delivered precisely that by merging Gen Z's contemporary edge with Péro's renowned artisanal craftsmanship. As the muse for designer Aneeth Arora, Aneet Padda commanded the ramp, embodying a fresh, youthful spirit rooted in the brand's refined, handcrafted elegance.
Playful Professional Styling
The styling was a masterclass in blending the playful with the professional. Aneet Padda's ensemble was accessorized with delicate sheer black stockings and striking footwear adorned with exaggerated bow details, lending the overall look a slightly avant-garde, doll-like charm. To ensure the intricate craftsmanship of the clothing remained the focal point, accessories were deliberately kept minimal. The beauty look aligned with the "clean girl" aesthetic, featuring subtly defined eyes, a luminous natural base achieved with cream blush, and sleek, center-parted hair. This polished, classic approach allowed the complex textures and artisanal details of the outfit to take center stage.
