The special service is specifically designed to cater to the influx of travelers, including families, students, and pilgrims, who are planning their getaways and spiritual journeys during this busy period, promising a smoother and more comfortable experience for all.

The special service, designated as Train No. 06045 for the Chennai Egmore to Kanniyakumari leg and 06046 for the return journey, will operate as a superfast special on select Fridays and Sundays. Departing from Chennai Egmore, the train is scheduled to leave at 11:50 PM on the following Fridays in 2026: May 15, May 22, May 29, and June 5. Passengers can anticipate arriving in Kanniyakumari at 1:00 PM the subsequent day. For those planning their return journey after a weekend in Kanniyakumari, the special train will depart from Kanniyakumari at 11:25 PM on these Sundays in 2026: May 17, May 24, May 31, and June 7. The arrival back at Chennai Egmore is slated for 11:30 AM the following morning.
