For a limited period of eight weeks, individuals without flight bookings can immerse themselves in the airport's commercial offerings. Accessing this unique airport experience requires a straightforward registration process. Interested visitors must pre-register on the airport's official website to obtain a digital security pass, which includes a QR code. This code serves as the key for entry, allowing passage through checkpoints and access to shops. Your visit is time-bound, granting you a four-hour window to explore the terminal's facilities before you must return your security badge and depart. During your allocated time, you are free to browse a variety of duty-free and high-end retail stores, enjoy meals at diverse eateries, and appreciate the airport's impressive architecture. This allows for a comprehensive experience of the airport's commercial environment without the obligation to purchase a flight ticket.
Key Restrictions Applied
While the shopping pass offers unprecedented access, certain limitations are in place to ensure security and compliance. Visitors are prohibited from bringing personal electronic devices like laptops and tablets into the restricted areas. Furthermore, the purchase of regulated items such as tobacco and alcohol is strictly forbidden unless the individual possesses a valid boarding pass. However, an enticing incentive is offered: shoppers who spend a minimum of Dh200 within the terminal can qualify for up to four hours of complimentary parking. This benefit requires validation of the spend before exiting the airport, encouraging longer visits and greater engagement with the retail offerings.
