Expanded Food Reach
A significant expansion in the availability of convenient food options for train passengers has been implemented, extending the service to a total of 152
railway stations across the nation. This represents a substantial increase from the previously covered 70 stations within a year, reflecting a growing demand for varied and accessible culinary choices during travel. The strategic focus is on broadening the network to include not only major transit hubs but also smaller, regional stops, ensuring a wider geographical reach for this service. Examples of these newly included stations include Itarsi in Madhya Pradesh, Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, and Kharagpur in West Bengal, highlighting a commitment to serving diverse passenger needs throughout India.
Special Menus Launched
To enhance the travel dining experience, new menu options have been introduced, catering to specific needs and occasions. A special menu designed for the Holi festival was available to travelers for a limited period, offering festive culinary delights. Additionally, a dedicated category of 'Train Friendly Dishes' has been expanded. These dishes are specifically engineered for ease of consumption while on the move, prioritizing convenience for passengers who are traveling at high speeds. This initiative aims to provide more than just basic sustenance, focusing on enjoyable and practical meal solutions that complement the journey.
