A key strategy for improvement involves dietary adjustments, particularly focusing on reducing salt intake and increasing consumption of potassium-rich foods. Dr. Deepashree R, a dermatologist at KIMS Hospitals, Bengaluru, recommends a low-salt diet to help mitigate facial puffiness. Incorporating foods like tender coconut water, bananas, and spinach can be highly beneficial. These foods not only help reduce fluid retention but also provide essential nutrients that support skin health. Alongside these dietary changes, it's advisable to monitor vital health indicators like blood sugar, blood pressure, and manage conditions like diabetes and hypertension, which can also contribute to or exacerbate the appearance of a stressed and puffy face.
