Unprecedented GPU Deployment
A significant new phase in the collaboration between Yotta Data Services and Gorilla Technology Group has been announced, representing a substantial investment
of roughly USD 2.8 billion. This expansion focuses on equipping India with advanced AI computing power. The core of this initiative involves the deployment of an additional 20,736 B300 GPU cards. These powerful components are crucial for building and operating large-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure. The entire deployment is slated for completion by September 30, 2026. This substantial addition builds upon a prior framework agreement between the two entities, which already committed to deploying approximately 640 high-performance servers equipped with over 5,000 GPUs for AI tasks within India. The initial phase of this ambitious Yotta project is progressing as planned, with deliveries expected to conclude by the end of July, underscoring the operational momentum of this vital infrastructure development.
Strategic Chipmaker Alliance
Central to this extensive GPU rollout is a key engagement with NVIDIA, the prominent US-based chip manufacturer. Under the terms of this new expansion, NVIDIA is anticipated to fulfill approximately half of the GPU procurement for this phase. This commitment is structured as a four-year agreement, specifically designed to facilitate the establishment of one of the largest NVIDIA DGX Cloud clusters within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, located right here in India. This strategic alliance ensures access to state-of-the-art AI processing capabilities, vital for supporting the complex demands of modern artificial intelligence workloads. The collaboration with NVIDIA not only strengthens the technological foundation but also positions India at the forefront of AI innovation and development in the broader APAC market.
Accelerating India's AI Growth
This partnership is a game-changer for Yotta Data Services' mission to build AI infrastructure at an industrial scale within India. The company's leadership expressed excitement about the extended collaboration with Gorilla. The infusion of advanced AI compute power is crucial for meeting the rapidly escalating demand for sophisticated AI solutions, both from domestic enterprises and government entities. Yotta Data Services, a provider of sovereign cloud infrastructure and platform services, currently operates large-scale data center facilities in key locations, including Panvel (Navi Mumbai) and Greater Noida (Delhi NCR). These existing facilities will serve as the bedrock for this massive AI compute expansion, enabling the company to deliver secure and high-performance AI capabilities from within the country.
