Type 7 vs. Type 8

In contrast, Type 8 bungalows are significantly larger, boasting around 4498 sq ft of space. These residences typically feature five bedrooms, plus dedicated hall, dining, and study areas, alongside four servant quarters and two garages. Type 8 bungalows are reserved for the highest echelons, including Cabinet Ministers and Supreme Court Judges. Consequently, their market value is considerably higher, ranging from Rs. 70 crore to Rs. 100 crore, compared to the Rs. 40-60 crore range for Type 7. Both types are found in prestigious locations, but Type 8 is more predominantly situated within the exclusive Lutyens Bungalow Zone, signifying an even greater level of privilege and importance.
