The Mumbai Police initiated a meticulous investigation, employing technical analysis and scrutinizing individuals with past connections to the garment firm. Suspicion quickly pointed towards Rahul Eknath Gaikwad, a former employee, and Irfan Ali Ahmed Ali Khan, a current staff member. Investigators believe these two individuals were central to plotting the heist, allegedly collaborating with others. Three individuals were subsequently taken into custody in Goa, and two more were apprehended in Nalasopara, bringing the total number of arrested to six. The police have successfully recovered ₹29.69 lakh of the stolen money. Deputy Commissioner of Police Ragasudha confirmed that Rizwan Ansari, Santosh Malekar, and another individual still at large were present in the car during the abduction.
