service. A new daily roundtrip has been added between San Diego and Los Angeles, specifically designed to alleviate the common travel headaches of Southern California, such as heavy traffic and difficult parking situations. This initiative, a collaborative effort between the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board and the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency, aims to leverage the scenic coastal route as an attractive and convenient transportation alternative for both international visitors and local supporters. The expansion not only facilitates easier access to the World Cup venues but also encourages travelers to experience the beauty of the California coast before or after the games. A More Frequent Journey
With the introduction of an additional daily roundtrip, the Pacific Surfliner now offers an impressive 13 daily services connecting San Diego and Los Angeles, with numerous stops along the picturesque coastline. This increased frequency significantly enhances travel flexibility for fans. Beyond the San Diego-Los Angeles corridor, the train service extends its reach northward to San Luis Obispo, offering two full daily roundtrip services that traverse the entire 351-mile route from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. This extensive network ensures that a greater number of passengers can utilize the train for their travel needs, whether attending matches in Los Angeles or exploring other captivating coastal cities. For those arriving in Los Angeles by train, Los Angeles Union Station serves as a central hub, providing convenient connections to the stadiums where the World Cup games are scheduled to take place.
