tracking their exercise habits and health outcomes. The findings were striking: while doing either aerobic exercise or strength training was beneficial, combining them was dramatically more effective for longevity. Participants who did both strength training and regular aerobic activity had up to a 45% lower risk of premature death from any cause compared to those who did neither. The sweet spot for strength training appeared to be around 90 to 120 minutes per week, which was linked to a 13% lower risk of early death. Adding aerobic exercise to this amplified the benefits significantly.
