for years, and Vishesh Films has finally answered the call. The new film, directed by Nitin Kakkar, sees Emraan Hashmi reprise his role as Shivam Pandit. The sequel was officially announced in March 2025, with a story that picks up after the original's dramatic conclusion, revealing that Shivam survived the shootout in Bangkok. The film, which also stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14, 2026, and has already become a major box office success, proving the long wait was worth it for its dedicated audience.
The Indian Leg: Grounding the Story in Rajasthan
While the original film had its roots in Bangkok, the sequel's production journey included a significant schedule in India, specifically in Rajasthan. Filming took place in Jaipur and the Sambhar region, known for its vast, dramatic salt landscapes. The original movie's climax unfolded in Bangkok, where Shivam was last seen.
