latest creation, the 'Design Theme by Mulliner', is its most daring public statement yet. Available exclusively for the driver-focused Continental GT Supersports, this package is designed to visually express the car's high-performance character in a way that is anything but subtle. Unveiled ahead of its public debut at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, the theme ditches convention in favour of a loud, proud, and deliberately dramatic aesthetic.
The Art of Asymmetry
The centerpiece of this new theme is something never before seen on a production Bentley: a side-to-side paint fade. Instead of a uniform colour, a bold, bright shade on the driver's side of the car seamlessly blends into a darker, contrasting tone across the bodywork to the passenger side. This asymmetrical treatment is the core of the car's 'drama'. It’s a technique more commonly associated with the wilder end of custom car culture, making its appearance on a Bentley a true shock to the system. Crucially, the bright, attention-grabbing colour always follows the driver, whether the car is left- or right-hand drive, physically reinforcing the Supersports' mission as a vehicle built around the person behind the wheel.
Three Curated Dramas
To guide customers, Mulliner has created three curated versions of the theme, each with a distinct personality. The 'Dragon' theme is the most aggressive, featuring a Dragon Red fading to Black Crystal exterior, paired with a matching red-and-black interior. The 'Electric' theme offers a contemporary feel, blending a vibrant Electric Blue into a deep Dark Sapphire. Finally, the 'Brodgar' theme provides a more subtle, earth-toned option, fading from Pale Brodgar to the richer Brodgar, complemented by a sophisticated tan and black cabin. Beyond the paint, the theme adds finishing details like a number '8' motif on the grille, an off-center stripe aligned with the passenger seat, and delicate pinstriping on the car’s carbon fibre aerodynamic elements.
An Interior Built for One
The driver-centric focus extends dramatically to the cabin. The Continental GT Supersports is already a strict two-seater, and this Mulliner theme emphasizes the point by continuing the car's external asymmetry inside. The interior is split into two distinct colour zones: the driver is enveloped in the brighter, more vibrant hide, while the passenger side is finished in the darker, more subdued tone. This creates a cockpit-like environment, visually separating the driver's workspace from the passenger area. Details like a gear lever colour-matched to the driver's seat and unique perforation patterns on the full leather trim further enhance the bespoke, performance-oriented feel.
