This powerful computing platform integrates the entire powertrain, driving dynamics, infotainment, and automated driving functions into a single high-performance computer. This allows for up to ten times more computing power, resulting in a system that is not only faster and more precise but also future-proof. It enables seamless over-the-air updates, ensuring the vehicle's technology remains current, and allows for deep integration of third-party apps for streaming and gaming. The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant has also been significantly upgraded, now using generative AI and Large Language Models for more natural voice interaction.
