The residential range, announced on August 15, 2026, includes two main variants: a 4.6 kWh model with a 3 kW power output, and a larger 9.2 kWh model with a 6 kW output. The headline-making starting price of Rs 99,999 is for the 4.6 kWh version, while the 9.2 kWh unit is priced at Rs 1,74,999. These systems promise to provide reliable backup power during outages, manage voltage fluctuations, and store solar energy for later use.
Leveraging In-House Technology
At the heart of the Shakti systems is Ola's own battery technology. The company is using its indigenous lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, manufactured at its Gigafactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.
