The Mulliner Touch
For those unfamiliar, Mulliner is Bentley's in-house personal commissioning division, the oldest coachbuilder in the world. It's where standard luxury ends and true bespoke artistry begins. Over 70% of Bentley customers now opt for some form of Mulliner content,
transforming their cars into unique statements. These new themes for the ultra-exclusive, driver-focused Continental GT Supersports are the latest showcase of their capabilities, debuting at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Supersports itself is the most performance-oriented Continental GT ever, featuring a non-hybrid V8 engine, rear-wheel drive, and a two-seat cockpit designed for pure driving engagement. These new Mulliner themes are designed to amplify that purpose-driven character.
The Power of the Dragon
The first theme, 'Dragon', is a bold and fiery statement. It features a stunning exterior paint fade from Dragon Red to Black Crystal. This dramatic effect extends into the cabin, which uses a combination of Hotspur and Beluga leather to create a striking, driver-focused aesthetic. The interior is distinctly two-tone, with the brighter Hotspur red leather enveloping the driver's side to emphasize the car's performance-oriented nature. The passenger side is finished in the more subdued Beluga black. This theme is a powerful nod to performance and passion, using colour to create an energetic and purposeful environment that matches the car's powerful presence.
An 'Electric' Personality
Clearing up any confusion, the 'Electric' theme is not about an electric powertrain but about a vibrant, modern aesthetic. The exterior showcases a subtle fade from Electric Blue into a deep Dark Sapphire. Inside, the theme continues with a dynamic interplay of Klein Blue and Imperial Blue. Much like the Dragon theme, the cabin is driver-centric, using the brighter Klein Blue to highlight the driver's area and create a cockpit-like feel. This specification is for the owner who wants a contemporary and energetic look, using sharp, electric hues to express a modern vision of high-performance luxury. It's a statement of style that is as dynamic as the car itself.
The Serenity of Brodgar
The third option, 'Brodgar', offers a contemporary yet timeless alternative. This theme is named after the Neolithic stone circle in Orkney, Scotland, and evokes a sense of natural tranquility and heritage. The exterior features a sophisticated fade from a lighter Pale Brodgar to a darker Brodgar hue. This earthy and understated palette is carried into the interior with a complementary scheme of Camel and Beluga leathers. This design provides a more serene and classic take on the driver-focused two-tone layout, blending performance with a sense of calm and natural materials. It appeals to a driver who appreciates both speed and subtlety, heritage and modernity. This theme was previously hinted at in Mulliner's extended Ombré paint range, now fully realised for the Supersports.
