a vehicle capable of entering a body of water, staying afloat, and climbing back onto shore. The system is designed around detachable buoyancy modules, made of foam or inflatable materials, which would be installed inside the wheel arches to keep the vehicle from sinking. An onboard computer could adjust the buoyancy at each corner independently, providing stability against currents or an unbalanced load.
How It Would Work
The innovation isn't just about floating; it's about control. Once in the water, the vehicle's wheels would become its propellers and rudders. The patent details using the adaptive suspension to lower the steering wheels deeper into the water to improve directional control.
