1. Dhanbad to Coimbatore
This service forges a crucial long-distance link between the mineral-rich state of Jharkhand and the industrial hub of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express will traverse a significant portion of the country, passing through
key states and cities including Gaya in Bihar, Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, and Nagpur in Maharashtra. The route also includes important southern hubs like Vijayawada, Tirupati, and Salem, providing a much-needed connection for migrant workers, students, and pilgrims. This weekly train aims to reduce travel time and provide a direct, budget-friendly option for passengers who previously relied on multiple connecting trains.
2. Gorakhpur to Delhi
Enhancing connectivity in the densely populated northern region, the Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express will provide another option for travel to the national capital. Originating from Gorakhpur in eastern Uttar Pradesh, a major regional hub, this service will cater to heavy passenger traffic along this corridor. Key stops are planned at Basti, Gonda, Sitapur, and Moradabad, connecting several important districts of Uttar Pradesh directly to Delhi. This service is expected to be a boon for daily commuters and those travelling for work and education, offering a more modern and comfortable alternative.
3. Gorakhpur to Bandra (Mumbai)
Another new service originating from Gorakhpur, this Amrit Bharat Express will connect eastern Uttar Pradesh with the financial capital, Mumbai. The Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus train will bridge this vast distance by passing through major central and western Indian cities. The proposed route includes stops at Kanpur, Agra Fort, Kota in Rajasthan, Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh, and Vadodara and Surat in Gujarat before terminating in Mumbai. This train will significantly benefit the large population of migrant labourers and professionals who travel between these two economic powerhouses.
4. Prayagraj to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai)
This weekly service aims to strengthen the connection between the spiritual and administrative city of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai. The Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Amrit Bharat Express will run through the heart of central India. Its key halts at Satna, Jabalpur, and Itarsi in Madhya Pradesh, before moving through Bhusaval and Kalyan in Maharashtra, will provide improved connectivity for several towns along the route. The service addresses the consistent demand for more trains on this busy corridor, offering a reliable and affordable choice for passengers.
5. Prayagraj to Udhna (Surat)
Connecting Uttar Pradesh to the commercial centres of Gujarat, the Prayagraj-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express is another strategic addition. Udhna is a major station serving the city of Surat, a hub for the textile industry. This weekly train will pass through key locations like Agra, Kota in Rajasthan, and Ratlam and Vadodara in Gujarat. By linking these industrial and cultural centres, the train is expected to facilitate easier travel for business, tourism, and family visits, filling a gap in the existing network.
6. Subedarganj (Prayagraj) to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai)
To further ease the passenger load on the Prayagraj-Mumbai route, a second weekly service from the Prayagraj region has been approved. The Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Amrit Bharat Express provides an alternative route with different stops. This train will travel via Banda and the Chitrakutdham pilgrimage site in Uttar Pradesh, before moving through Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, and Nashik Road. This ensures that passengers from different parts of the Bundelkhand region and central India have direct access to Mumbai.
7. Charlapalli (Hyderabad) to Gorakhpur
This new Amrit Bharat Express creates a major north-south corridor, connecting Telangana's capital region with eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Charlapalli-Gorakhpur service will start from a key terminal near Hyderabad and travel through Nagpur in Maharashtra, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. It will provide direct connectivity for students and professionals moving between the educational and IT hubs of the south and their hometowns in the north. This route will significantly boost connectivity for several towns in Telangana, including Peddapalli and Mancherial.
