Is the Visa Really 'Free'?
Yes and no. The visa fee itself is covered, but you cannot get it by simply booking a flight. The offer is exclusively tied to purchasing a holiday package. Travellers cannot apply for the free visa independently. The entire process must be handled through participating travel partners or online travel agencies (OTAs) who are enrolled in the program. This means the 'cost' of the visa is bundled into a package that includes other travel components, a strategy designed to encourage longer stays and more spending within Abu Dhabi.
The Crucial Fine Print: Key Conditions
The eligibility for this offer hinges on three main conditions that must all be met. First, you must be an Indian passport holder departing from India. Second, your booking must include a return flight from India. Third, and most importantly, the package must include a minimum stay of three consecutive nights in an Abu Dhabi hotel. Splitting your stay between Abu Dhabi and another emirate, like Dubai, might disqualify you from the offer, even if your total time in the UAE is longer than three nights. Always confirm that your hotel booking is specifically for Abu Dhabi to meet the requirement.
How to Book Your Trip Correctly
To take advantage of this offer, you must book through an approved channel. Start by identifying travel agencies or OTAs that are participating in DCT Abu Dhabi's program. When you inquire, specifically ask if they are part of this pilot and request written confirmation that the UAE entry visa fee is covered in your package. The travel partner will handle the visa application process.
