If you need a 60-page passport expedited, the Tatkal fee is now ₹6,000, increased from ₹4,000. This expedited service is a lifeline for emergency travel but makes pre-planning even more valuable for the budget-conscious traveller. For adults, replacing a lost, damaged, or stolen 36-page passport now costs ₹5,000 under the normal scheme and ₹7,500 under Tatkal.
