Your Ticket to Adventure
Ducati dealerships across India are now accepting bookings for the 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally. This signals the imminent arrival of a motorcycle designed for the most demanding long-distance travellers. The bike has been launched with a starting ex-showroom
price of Rs 32.40 lakh for the classic Ducati Red colour scheme. For those wanting a different look, a Jade Green option is also available for a slight premium at Rs 32.73 lakh. This new model sits at the top of the Multistrada V4 family, aimed squarely at riders who see no limits to their journeys, whether on tarmac or treacherous trails.
What Makes It a 'Rally'?
The 'Rally' moniker isn't just a sticker. The most significant upgrade is the massive 30-litre fuel tank, a substantial increase from the 22-litre tank on the standard V4. This enhancement provides a much greater range, crucial for exploring remote areas. To handle the toughest terrains, the bike is equipped with long-travel semi-active suspension, offering 200mm of travel at both the front and rear. It also features more robust engine guards, standard spoked wheels for better off-road resilience, and a wider, taller windscreen for improved protection on long highway stints. These upgrades make it a truly purpose-built machine for globetrotting.
Uncompromised Power and Smarter Tech
At its heart is the formidable 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine, producing 170 hp and 123 Nm of torque, ensuring a thrilling and responsive ride. This engine also features an extended rear cylinder deactivation system, which shuts down the rear two cylinders at idle and low speeds to improve fuel efficiency and reduce heat. The electronics suite gets even smarter with the introduction of a new Automatic Lowering Device. This clever feature lowers the bike's ride height at speeds below 10 km/h to make low-speed manoeuvres easier, then restores it once you pick up the pace. The existing radar system, which enables Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, is now augmented with a Forward Collision Warning system for enhanced safety.
Engineered for the Long Haul
Comfort on extended journeys is paramount. The Rally features a revised chassis with a repositioned swingarm pivot for better stability when fully loaded. Ergonomics have been optimised for both rider and pillion, providing more space and comfort. The bike also comes with a redesigned, easier-to-use centre stand and standard heated grips. Ducati has also focused on making ownership more practical, with impressive service intervals of 15,000 km for an oil change and a valve clearance check only required every 60,000 km.
The Pinnacle of Adventure Touring
With its pricing, the Multistrada V4 Rally positions itself in the premium adventure motorcycle segment in India. It goes head-to-head with formidable rivals like the BMW R 1300 GS and the Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. While the BMW R 1300 GS is known for its iconic boxer engine and balanced handling, the Multistrada V4 Rally stakes its claim with superior power output from its V4 engine and a class-leading suite of electronic aids. The choice between them often comes down to brand preference and whether a rider prioritises the torque-rich character of the GS or the high-revving performance of the Ducati.
