The free, nightly event that brings the Supertrees to life is called Garden Rhapsody. Twice each evening, at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM, the grove becomes the stage for a spectacular 15-minute light and sound show. The towering structures, some as tall as a 16-storey
building, are fitted with a dazzling array of LED lights that pulse and dance in perfect synchronisation with a curated musical score. The vision is led by award-winning lighting designer Adrian Tan and composer Bang Wenfu, ensuring a world-class audio-visual experience.
A Constantly Evolving Spectacle
One of the most compelling reasons to revisit Garden Rhapsody is its ever-changing nature. The show's theme is refreshed regularly throughout the year, meaning the experience is rarely the same twice. In the past, themes have ranged from the orchestral swoon of 'Opera in the Gardens' and the groovy beats of 'Retro Fever' to special editions celebrating movie scores from franchises like Star Wars. For July 2026, the theme is 'Enchanted Woods', promising a journey into a world of magical beings and mystical beasts. Other months might feature tributes to Asian musical heritage, fantasy worlds, or a festive Christmas special in December. This dynamic programming keeps the show fresh for locals and offers tourists a unique performance depending on when they visit.
Finding the Perfect Viewing Spot
How you choose to watch the show can completely change your perspective. Many visitors agree that one of the best ways to enjoy Garden Rhapsody is to find a spot directly beneath the giant canopies, lie back, and watch the lights twinkle above. This immersive ground-level view is entirely free. For a different angle, consider the OCBC Skyway. This 128-metre long aerial walkway is suspended 22 metres above the ground, offering a panoramic view of the entire grove and the surrounding Marina Bay skyline. A ticket is required for the Skyway, and it's wise to time your entry to be on the walkway just as the show begins. Regardless of your choice, it’s recommended to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early, as the best spots fill up quickly, especially on weekends.

A popular itinerary involves arriving in the late afternoon to explore the grounds in daylight, perhaps visiting the paid attractions like the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. As evening approaches, you can grab a meal at a nearby eatery like Satay by the Bay before settling in for the 7:45 PM light show. The second show at 8:45 PM is often slightly less crowded, offering a more relaxed experience.
