While the classic seven-night, eight-day journey remains the cornerstone of its offering, covering iconic destinations like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Agra, the train is also exploring itineraries that venture into quieter territories. An older, experimental itinerary introduced under the 'Heritage Palace on Wheels' banner included off-beat destinations in the Shekhawati region, such as Churu, known for its frescoed havelis. While the current primary route is well-established, these forays indicate a willingness to cater to travellers seeking to explore less-exposed parts of the region. One of the standout features of the standard itinerary is the stop at Bharatpur, home to Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a haven for birdwatchers that remains an exclusive destination among India's luxury trains.
