In its much-anticipated annual list, Time Out has named Humayunpur the 16th coolest neighbourhood in the world for 2026. This places the unassuming Delhi locality in the company of cultural hotspots like Jongno 3-ga in Seoul, which topped the list, and
L'Ocean District in Rabat. The ranking praised Humayunpur for its exceptional food and drink, vibrant nightlife, independent businesses, and strong sense of community. It's a significant moment for a neighbourhood that has long been a favourite for locals but has remained largely off the mainstream tourist map. Two Indian neighbourhoods made the cut, with Mumbai's Bandra West securing the 23rd spot.
The Heartbeat of the Northeast in Delhi
At the core of Humayunpur’s appeal is its identity as a home away from home for Delhi's Northeastern community.
