A Dozen Wins on the Global Stage
The Postcard Hotel has made history, winning more awards than any other hotel brand in Asia at the World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony held in the Maldives. The brand itself was named 'Asia's Leading Boutique Hotel Brand 2026',
a testament to its growing influence in the ultra-luxury market since its founding in 2018. The dozen accolades highlight the excellence of its diverse portfolio, which spans serene beaches, majestic mountains, and immersive wildlife reserves across India, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. This significant recognition is decided by votes from travel professionals and the public, making it a true benchmark of quality in the travel industry.
Celebrating India’s Diverse Landscapes
The awards celebrate the brand's success in creating unique experiences rooted in their locations. The Postcard on the Arabian Sea in Karnataka was crowned 'Asia's Leading Boutique Hotel 2026'. In Gujarat, The Postcard Gir Wildlife Sanctuary won 'Asia's Leading Wildlife Resort 2026', proving that luxury and nature can coexist beautifully. Closer to home for many, a new property, The Postcard on the Mandovi River in Goa, was recognised as 'India's Leading New Hotel 2026'. The awards didn't stop at the coast, with The Postcard in the Himalayan Willows in Leh earning the title of 'India's Leading Mountain Resort 2026', highlighting its ability to offer supreme comfort at an altitude of around 11,500 feet.
The Philosophy of 'No Rules' Luxury
What is the secret behind this rapid rise to the top? The Postcard Hotel was founded on a simple but powerful idea: to move away from conventional, rule-bound luxury. The brand focuses on intimate hotels in remarkable destinations, offering guests generous space, thoughtful design, and highly personalised service. This translates to a holiday with more freedom—think no set check-in or check-out times and breakfast whenever you please. Instead of cookie-cutter designs, each hotel is built to reflect the character and culture of its destination, from tea estates and heritage homes to coastal retreats. This approach has clearly resonated with discerning travellers, leading not only to awards but also to exceptionally high guest ratings.
Putting Indian Hospitality on the World Map
This impressive haul of awards is more than just a win for a single company; it's a significant moment for Indian hospitality. The success of The Postcard Hotel, a relatively young Indian brand, on a global stage demonstrates the country's growing influence in the luxury travel sector. It shows an ability to blend authentic local experiences with world-class service standards that cater to modern travellers. As several of the winning properties now advance to the World Travel Awards Grand Final in Tanzania later this year, it signals a new chapter for Indian-led luxury. With nine more hotels planned for the next year, including an entry into Nepal, the brand is set to continue its mission of bringing intimate, destination-led luxury to the world.
